I’m using soil out a neighbours garden for filling a raised bed. If I pour a load off fresh hot boiled water in to the soil will it kill any roots and bulbs that might still be around?

Maybe but It will also kill most of the soil bacteria making it pretty useless

I’m gonna re-introduce worms and composite and fertiliser etc. I just want to kill some of the roots and stuff that I may have missed. I’ve got most of them out that I can easily see but don’t want unwanted stuff growing taking over my raised bed

No all you can do is wait for them to grow then kill them

Don't do that, just weed when stuff comes up - weeds will appear sooner or later in any case so just keep on top of it and it's not that much hassle

Sieve it rather than pouring boiling water which will kill all the good bacteria in your soil.

No, that would really not help. Sieve the soil with a riddle. Any bulbs you don't want pot up and give away xx

I think you would need to pour the water directly on to the bulbs to kill them. Plants are not likely to survive if the have boiling water poured on them. Are you able to dig the soil over & remove anything you tont want?

Sieve the soil and take out bulbs/ weeds , if you have lots of worm's that's a good sign, maybe do a soil analysis , you can buy a kit , and then add any nutrients required.

Weeds can grow through concrete eventually. They will not care about your hot water.

I really wouldn’t worry as much as you are. Birds and the wind will drop seeds into as soon as you put it down. Just take out bits you find and then weed anything out that grows.
