I used fence paint 3 weeks ago on mine and it started peeling within two weeks , had to do it again with decking paint

We did this. its lethal under foot, husband has almost killed himself a few times slipping  We have the proper stuff now

Fence paint is for fences, it's an acrylic resin full of wax to resist the water. You'll probably have an ice rink when it polish's up soon. Very slippy

It will wear very fast. We used Cuprinol decking stain. Fantastic result and lasts.

@fairish I've used that to I have a very large area so costs me bout £140 quid not paying that any more

Please be careful using fence paint we made this mistake 3yrs ago I slipped on deck because it was slippery and broke my coccyx bone I got a 5l tub of deck pain from wilkos for 12 x

Al give it 1-2weeks and it will be peeling. Paint Dragged through your house from the paint On your shoes and the deck left a total mess. Pay cheap pay twice.

Ronsil decking oil is the safest option.

2x coats of £4 fence paint plus time and effort = fortnight tops especially with poor weather, we live amd learn, learned the hard way

@constabulary so far so good. £9. 99 a tin, coverage and quality was excellent. My 30 quid tin of ronseal lasted less than 6 months last year. Reviews go to show than Screwfix lasts really well so let's give him a go

Decking paint has grit in it to make it non-slip. Fence paint doesn’t.

It won't last on the decking I've seen it a number of times don't know why I'm told it won't take people walking on it.

Well done  I did mine with garden colours, it lasts a few years  it’s had another coat since that picture

Looks nice but it doesn’t last. With rain and walking on it - I’m going to jet wash ours back to natural wool and use oil xx

Always paint mine with fence stain just refresh every year
