No need to burn or boil them. they are good for your garden naturally turning the soil over. Try talcum powder if it's really bothering they will just up and move along.

Ant traps have worked for me Also, I think it might help if you keep that area damp and watered. Not sure if I'm right, but I think ants prefer a dry area to make their nests.

If they are inside it's because they're looking for a water I have had to get up every morning some days and wipe them off the counter tops and traps work nothing else I found

I get them from time to time inside the house. They came through the cracks between the skirting boards and floor. I used caulk to fill in the gaps. I put ant powder under the carpet. Had them in the kitchen 2 years back. Found they were getting inside because of a gap between the door frame and the foot path slabs. They were everywhere. Again I got caulk and filled in it. If their outside than I havent really a clue. I tend to put any powder along the house on the front but baby powder along the back as I have both a rabbit and a cat x

I use ant bait traps, you can get them in most supermarkets, and I put ant powder all round the outside of the house, I had them coming in the hole where the sky cable comes into the house a few yrs ago and covered the gap in ant powder and never had them in again (touch wood), they freak me out

Firstly outside your door use 2 buckets of boiling hot bleach water (more of you have a bigger space) once dried ant powder round the base of house esp where your door is. Even on window frames. Good luck

I use food grade Diatomaceous Earth powder. I place it around the doors where they come in and they eat it and also take it back to their nests. It attacks the exoskeleton of the ants, therefore killing them. As it's food grade, it won't harm your pets either, in fact, it's often used as a flea treatment for dogs and cats.

Cut some lemons and put the area will help . Ants are very clean animals but they don't like smiling parfums, bleach, etc.

A thick line of washing up liquid in a complete circle around the exit/entrance of their nest, they can’t get past it without getting stuck in it, or put where they are coming into the house but, it must be a circle joined without gaps.
