Trust was ours and we had to get a tree surgeon to remove it

Dig around too expose all it's roots shuld come out easeyer then .

Use a electric saw and cut the roots then cut the stump

Only way is to cut it out, then what’s left drill it fill holes with creosote then hammer in copper nails

O sis mine with a scaffolding pole. all five trees (big conifers). pounded it and levered.
