Please help save Robert!   Robert (Plant) usually lives on my husband’s desk. Please help save Robert!  Robert (Plant) usually lives on my husband’s desk. His colleague kindly took Robert home with her so he wouldn’t die during the weeks/months of lockdown but is panicking because Robert has developed a yellow leaf.  What should she do to keep Robert healthy?

Robert is a Peace Lily. To perk him up, water him with B1 mixed with water. Use a very small amount of B1 (1/4 tsp. to a pint of water). From now on allow Robert to slightly dry out between waterings. Then give him a good soak once a week. Only use B1 water every two to three weeks. Make sure he has good drainage.

He’s probably drowning or in bright sunshine.

Peace Lily. They do this when they experience something new, e. g. a draft, too dry, too wet. Just chop it (the yellow leaft) off at the base. Best to water by standing in a bucket for half an hour to let it absorb what it wants. Rain water is great, especially if you let it warm to room temperature before immersing. My friend bought me one 30 years ago and periodically I split and pot on.
