true but the noise of the bubbles make you talk louder to hear you conversation and I know that you’re aloud to make some noise up to 11pm . But we have lived here for 10 years now there is new neighbors moved in and we never had anyone moan b4 until now as it’s lock down it’s just nice to relax after kids gone to bed .

Use a clear exterior varnish, comes in Matt, Satin, Gloss, Yacht varnish will colour the wood as it's not a clear varnish, Many clear exterior varnishes are available, Please leave the natural wood look by using a clear exterior varnish.

Oil as it won’t flake or peel, easy to refresh and will protect the wood. Cuprinol is ok if you want to be constantly refreshing it, rubbing down etc.

As long as it's pressure treated wood then it doesn't need protecting. I'd just paint with a clear varnish. It looks very smart already. It has a bit of that Scandinavian chic about it.
