Just soak in a bucket of bleach water for a while

I would also add some baking soda into the bleach and hot water mix? Half a box of baking soda, half cup of bleach, minimum of 2l of hot water. Also - wear gloves!

Raise the wire off the ground on some blocks or something then put stones on and jet wash. That make sense?
