Couldn't resist the disco ball pot in the supermarket a few days ago and planted it up with a jamaica dahlia. Can't help feeling I should have put something more compact and shorter in the pot though. The pot is roughly 23cm high and 25cm across. Will it be be big enough for the dahlia? I've never grown dahlias before. Thanks

Have you put drainage holes in? X

Something trailing over the side would be nice . like summer training lobelia x

I would put the dahlia in the ground then you wont have trouble getting it out of the pot [small neck] and dahlias can get rather large something smaller and trailing would be the go x

@pervious15363 I've been looking at it since i planted it a few days ago and pondering about the size it will grow to. Something trailing sounds good thanks x

Small slim solar light on a short pole in the middle, and Ivy to trail over the side around the perimeter of the pot.

It's quite small might look nice on a ledge or bit off ground level dainty plants I'd think as id put plants in a bigger bowl than this and had trouble getting it out

I've seen some really nice plant pots and bowls in supermarkets at very good prices worth a look
