I'm new to running my own website (handmade shirts). Been on Etsy for 8 years and it's going well (6 figures yearly) however it's time to get the website going. I'm running my first ad with manual cpc and it hit 190 clicks today with no sales . Average cpc was 21 cents. It ran out my budget by 2pm. What shall I do? I turned cpc down to 15 cents. Do I let this run or is it just gonna eat all my money?

What is the landing page? What’s the main keyword your targeting?

Sounds like you are maybe running a display campaign. which is placing your ad accross different websites that fit into that categories. I would absolutley switch to a standard search campaign and target specific keywords.

Yeah as stated facebook may be better option but there is still business on Google as well. If you need any help with setting up search just post here. You will def want to learn how to setup conversion tracking. there are plenty of youtube videos for that.

If it's a new site, I'd recommend spending some time to optimize the website first before spending any money, to make sure your site converts.

I'd suggest hiring a consultant to help. Google ads is pretty complex to learn and run efficiently

Your conversion rate for the website should be at least 1-2% (if you’ve created it through shoplift it’s easy to check). If it’s not converting at that try optimising you’re website

This is really a specialist area. Google ads is not for amateurs. I'd recommended hiring a freelance specialist to take a look. Random uninformed advice here is unlikely to hit the mark imho.

Wait, these are from DISPLAY ads? Display is not the first place you should be going for this. As others have already said, Shopping, Search and Facebook are all going to give you better clicks than Google Display.

Search or Display? If Display, make sure you have turned off In App placements. You need to be very focused with your placements. There is a lot to learn. In all honesty, most people who try to run Google Ads campaigns themselves run out of budget before getting real traction.

Contrary to people suggesting you should use "Search", I disagree 100% based on apparel being your product type. Unless it is extremely niche based (very special material or theme). You want people to SEE what you are selling and clicks from only those that are intrigued or find it appealing.

Display will do that. You really need to manage your placements. Did you set manual placements or did you trust Google's almighty God AI to choose for you? 99% of your money will be wasted if you trust it with Google. Yeah, I am pissed at them right now.

I'm new to this. If I wanted to advertise on a specific YouTube video (my ad is not a video) is there any way to get it so I pay per view i.e each time the ad comes up instead of clicks (CPC)?
