Not a good idea, and the standard campaign will only run if the “blindly trust Google” campaign runs out of budget.

@miff84 if you’ve got the time to map out the keywords and set up the campaigns (you need at least two) you can expect better volume from manual campaigns.

In campaign setup, all the Goal does is narrow down the campaign types they recommend. Pick sales and make shopping campaigns. Create a high priority campaign with low bids, and a medium campaign with the real bids. You can use a location adjustment of -90% to reduce the bids on the High campaign. Load your target keywords into a shared negative list, and apply that list to the High campaign. The Medium campaign will only trigger on your chosen keywords, the high campaign will do a little bit of long tail discovery for you.
