Hey guys, I own a locksmith company. Because of an honest mistake of an old employee, Google maps have suspended our account. I've tried everything to resolve the situation, and haven't been able to reach anyone there. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this? Thank you

You can call them when they open again. In the mean time you should be able reach them through email or chat support through your Google ads account.

What @warton6 said, chat and phone are disabled due to Covid staff shortages but you can submit an email request and last week they got back with me in about a day

If you are talking about Google Maps, that is not Google Ads. You will need the Google My Business support line. I am not sure if they are accepting calls, but Google Ads support is not.

Whatever you do, do not use the same email and try to create a new account. That’s their first trigger for suspension. How many reviews do you have or can you start fresh with a new listing and email? It’s possible to fix but it may be weeks before you can reach support. Try the chat line on the Google site.

What's suspended Google my business listing or Google Ads? Regardless for a locksmith company both are essential. I could get you back approved but its a long process with their frustrating support.

If it’s GMB. then I bet the business is using the exact same address as another business. like a PO Box, Apartment Address, or a fake unit # that isnt registered with the postal service. That’s the most common reason. The biz owner likely doesn't want to use his real home address, but Google is actively going after businesses who attempt to be shady. The only way to clear the issue is to use a real address that isnt being used by another business. The last client I helped to get unsuspended it took 2 months to clear. Luckily that cleared before the virus came along. Good luck!

Do you have your license on your website? You have to have it or else they’ll suspend your ads too.
