(google shopping ads-remarketing) Running a new google shopping campaign on a new site less than a month old and I added a remarketing shopping campaign but my audience is too low. Any tricks to have it run? Or do I have to wait until I have that 1k audience? I believe I can run a separate display campaign and would only need 100 active users but I really want to run a remarketing campaign on shopping. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thank you

For remarkerting you have to wait for audience. If you really want to run display then go with custom intent only

Yeah you could build up some users with a pretty well targeted cold traffic display campaign - but be very careful. Why not run some search campaigns?

Nice idea thank you and I will run some search ads soon. I really want to maximize all my traffic and clicks by remarketing. So, I wanted to show specific PLAs to the same person when they search for that in google shopping.

It's about getting to that magic number in a cost efficient vs. time efficient way. So, I'd be looking for some reasonable volume, low cost keywords. Or multiple low cost, low volume keywords. Share your niche with me over DM if you like and I can look at the data if I get a few mins later.

You can go for Smart Shopping which gives you Product Listing Ads + Display Remarketing features

So to confirm, you are saying that using a smart shopping campaign vs standard will allow remarketing to specific audiences?

@erkan no, you can't use specific remarketing audiences. Remarketing bids and placements is fully automated in Shopping

@wedurn oh i see, so running a smart campaign actually remarkets to the same visitors for me without me having to do a remarketing campaign, is that correct?

@wedurn I just looked in settings and didnt see an option to change it from standard to smart. So, im guessing I would have to launch a new campaign, correct?

@erkan i would recommend you to read and learn about the differences between standard and shopping so you are fully aware of the pros and cons. In a nutshell, Smart Shopping will help you ease your campaign structure and not having to worry about keyword control and CPCs. About remarketing, you'll see your ads in Gmail, YouTube and Display Network. You cannot choose who to show your ads, Google will do that for you based on user behaviour in your site

@wedurn got it, yeah I like the standard then. I prefer to manage the cpc and where the ad is shown thanks.

Stay with standard and get to know the data- far better for now.
