Whats the "worst" performance recommendation you seen in your account? And why?

Target cpa from the start, with no data or conversions. Actual google rep told me that last week. It’s a scandal really

That is pretty standard from them. That o Maximise Conversions! Then when you disagree they just go down Enhanced CPC route. It is beyond a joke

@pinkeye169 exactly. People and businesses don’t realise how bad they are, take their advice and then go out of business or are seriously effected financially. Got to be a class action suit in there somewhere

Whoa, is this real? A Google account rep just pushed Target CPA on me, should I not listen to them? I've been managing ads for almost 3 years so there's plenty of data. What bid strategy do you recommend? I just figured they know more than I do.

@eolanda they don’t. They are not experienced reps like days of old when based in Dublin. They are literally sales people employee to get you to spend more. They DO NOT know more then you or anybody for that matter I’m afraid

@eolanda if there is enough data and crucially conversions then yes by all means target cpa makes sense. No data at all and no conversions, like that was recommended does NOT make sense. Point being assume they are good cause they are google. They are not, any more

@rountree Wow, thank you for sharing this. So, I scheduled a call with them last week because our results were very inconsistent out of nowhere and after she changed a bunch of settings in my account, the results have practically stopped completely. Sort of panicking. Do you recommend I change everything back to how I had it?

But yes @eolanda if you ha e no data then the algorithm won’t work and just keep bouncing around, manual cpc or maximise clicks to start with I would safely say.
