Anyone have any luck lately getting accounts unsuspended for suspicious payments? I’ve personally never had it happen until now. Just helped someone set up an account and it was suspended instantly. Nothing shady at all, it was a landscaper who’s been in business for 20+ years. Never really had a digital presence though if that has any effect on it.

@davin561 Card should match with billing address. Make sure the ip at the time of account creation must be same of the billing city. First campaign should not be of higher budget until ads are not made live. If you meet this criteria, appeal to google ads again, they will make the account live.

Awesome, thanks. I think you got it, it was probably the I. P. Now that you mention it, I think we were on mobile data and the I. P could have been a different state.

I don"t understand it either. all I did was set it up with my own checking account debit card for that account and I add two of my credit cards for optional payment source and the next day I got an email from adwords saying I had suspicious payment activity I just don"t know what was wrong they won"t explain anything and they won"t give you a chance to correct it if maybe you entered something wrong by mistake it is really uncalled for

“Suspicious Payment” is the easiest to get out of. It literally takes the getting lucky with the right Google geek to see the problem & open the account back up. Nothing against India, but Google reps there are absolutely the worst. It seems they handle a lot of suspension issues. This sometimes takes 5+ appeals. I would appeal every 3 days until resolved. Steps to avoid this from happening in the first place: 1. Setup a “Payment Profile ID”. To do this, you need to click the contact support button. chat with them. tell you want to set it up, and they’ll email you with a list of info. From there, add CC details, and you’re good to go. This can take up to 3 days to get accomplished. 2. Add 2-step verification. It has been suggested to me several times by reps that Google trusts the added security more. 3. My personal trust building step: before adding a payment method, make sure Analytics & Search Console are integrated with your ads account. This reinforces trust. Even if the account is suspended, I believe this helps confirm the account is legit.

Thank you for the extremely detailed reply! All great information. I'm adding 2-step to my accounts now, makes perfect sense. Same thing with Analytics and Search console, I'll be making sure that is linked. It's a shame that this is so time consuming, probably moreso with everything going on. This is for a landscaper and the window to land the most business is this month, so I'm probably going to have to resort to Bing for the time being. Do you have to wait on the disapproval to appeal again or can you just use the appeal forms every three days?

Appeal multiple times, i got my account unsuspended by appealing 3-4 times and sending them all information that they asked.
