For those that have lost 50+ lbs, does your skin eventually shrink up some or does it stay loose? Curious as I lose more weight, I’ve noticed especially my arms have loose skin that annoys me. Yes to loose skin over the weight, but. any advice or stories as to how or what your skin does? Does light weight training help? Time? Etc?

I was wondering the same thing myself. I was looking for before and after pics of someone closer to my age as all I have found is most are upwards of 10 years or more older than me. (I’m 22) I’ve also looked for people with similar situations with similar weight loss goals and starting weights and can’t really find any to know if this is something I have to worry about. I started at 200 and my goal is to get down close to 130 ish. Praying loose skin doesn’t become an issue

@welsh do you suggest me adding collagen to my routine also just in case? It can’t hurt if it’s not necessarily needed correct?

@welsh I take biotin every day too and notice a difference in my nails (bad nail biter habit). I will be looking into adding collagen into my routine. Thank you

@almondeyed sorry I should’ve specified better. I don’t have any issues currently with hair loss or thinning. Just worried in the future about excess skin

I haven’t noticed too much loose skin so far. I’m at 62 lbs lost. I’ve had 2 kids so I have a mommy tummy which comes with the territory. I take collagen and plan to exercise and tone.

Oh yes. lots of excess, especially 'down there' and being a desert over my entire body does not make things easier. Surgical enhancements. no way. My skin even when I get sores from skin rubbing. it is my badge of honor for 100+ lb loss.
