I add 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 egg and around 60ml water to a scoop of Quest Cinnamon Crunch powder for waffles and they do well.

I've done that before! Spray the hell out of it

I did as above but used two egg whites. I did spray it. Maybe the iron wasn’t hot enough before I added the batter?

You may not have let it cook long enough, too. A good 3-4 minutes

@synaesthesia thanks

No problem! I added another tip down the line somewhere.

@tally try cooking them longer. They will not separate and will release better when they are finished cooking.

You want it to be the consistency of regular pancake batter. I do 1 scoop protein, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 egg white, then add enough water to make it batter consistency. Not too thin though. Good luck next attempt!

Also, put about a 1/2 cup of batter on at a time. Let it get to about a 4" circle before you close it. It bleeds out of you have too much, or if there is too much baking powder.

This is the recipe I use for waffles & pancakes, only I don't need to ever add water. They always come out so good! Never stick. & yes, spray the waffle maker in between cooking each waffle

When then iron is hot, add a teaspoon or so of water, close the iron without batter in it and let it steam for 30 sec - 1 min or so. ( not scientific). If the water is not sizzling and steaming, your iron is not hot enough. Then spray with a non-stick/oil spray and put in your batter. Less is better where batter is concerned. Cook until steam stops puffing out of the sides (or greatly reduces). I use wooden chopsticks to pop the waffle out of the iron. (Metal utensils will damage the non-stick surface).

You can also add water to the iron and let it re-heat with that mess in it to help soak it all off.

I have this problem with the IP berry powder but none of the others. Definitely drop to one egg white. I decreased baking powder to 1/4 tsp, didn’t add any water. That helped, but the waffle was smaller and thicker.

Maybe you poured it to big, maybe should have used ok nly half the iron

I’ve had this problem with making waffles out of the vanilla pudding packet. Always happens when I add to much water!

It’s *possible it’s your waffle maker. I had one that looks like this and the same thing happened. I threw it away. I bought a (flipable) Belgian waffle maker and had much better results. Also- your batter may have been too thin. I use a mini dash waffle maker and have good results as well. The brand you appear to have just made a mess and stuck for me.

I use 1 scoop of Quest, 1tsp baking powder (mix well) add one whole egg, and water to a thick waffle batter consistently (thicker than pancake batter)

You need to let it cook a lot longer, I did that once before.

I do not use any cooking spray to make mine and they slide out perfectly. Your waffle maker looks the same as mine

Let it pre heat and leave it in longer

Yup that’s me. It has to be very little water. I only realized after several trials and failures. Stick to the measuring then you’ll be a pro:)

Yes and it’s literally 1 and 1/2 ounces of water to mix 1 serving in to make a full waffle.

I would have just peeled it off and sprayed some mock butter on it and eaten. If the packet doesn’t always work right just wing it!

I do protein powder, baking powder 1 tsp and 2 tablespoons egg whites and a couple drops of vanilla
