So, I got some chocolate IP bars. They taste and feel like I remember brownies being. Unfortunately, they also triggered a few days of binging. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any suggestions on how or if I could have these "treats" occassionally? am I going to have to mark those as "forbidden for me. " (I have food allergies that developed later in life and that is how I deal with not being able to eat things that will now LITERALLY kill me. ) ?

If they are a trigger, I would eliminate them entirely.

@corrincorrina that is what I figured. It is weird trying to learn how to interact with food at my age! It seems like a constant struggle and lots of conversations with myself.

I get it. Even in maintenance, there are things that I consider off-limits to me personally.

I thought it eas just mr and lack of willpower. Knowing others do the same makes me feel better. Thanks!

Honestly, I stay away from most any bar, not just IP, because the sweetness of them are bad trigger food for me. I stick with shakes, chips, and soups.

I’ve had to switch from the sweet bars to the fruity drinks. It’s for the exact same reason.

Thank you all for your advice. I've been on this journey for a year now. Until this week I was 75 - 80 pounds down depending on the day. I know I have at least another 50 to lose, but I've been dealing with mental blocks and maintaining until this week. This week was nine capital. Staying now I'm getting back on track. No more bars for me!

Me too! I buy those things for variety but I keep them in my car in the garage so if I am eating one, it’s a effort to get it and hopefully part of the play for the day. It’s really helped me with my binging.

You could try having Mike hide them and give you one per week. If it sends you into a tailspin, tell him to eat them ALL then add to your NO list.
