Definitely need to make a stop at a Buc-ee’s while in Texas! It’s not a restaurant but pretty much the biggest convenience store you will ever find! They do have a section with BBQ and sausage on a stick that is yummy! But stay away from the other side of the BBQ kiosk because that is where the homemade fudge is made, sampled and sold! But they also have all kinds of nuts as well! Everyone should experience a Buc-ee’s at least once in their lifetime!
by (110 points)
@anachronistic6254 not even close. Buc-ee's is a must and BBQ places, just ask around when you get there.

@faludi exactly! Nothing like a grocery store at all!

@logan yeah I know — was just telling him that he needed to make sure he stops at one! Just found some pics from one of their pages to give him an idea of what we were talking about

My other suggestion is this. always go somewhere that you don’t have where you live! So if you have a Texas Roadhouse or Olive @bulganin4855den where you live. find a one of a kind steakhouse or other Italian place instead — try some of the mom and pop places — sometimes they are the best kept secrets! You can pretty much figure out a way to keto a meal anywhere!

Go to Don Carlos Mexican Restaurant, 4651 IH 35 South in Waco. Another good place is Taqueria El Mexicano Grill, 1420 N Valley Mills Dr in Waco which has a really good chicken stuffed avacado. Both very very good! Not sure where you're coming from but keep in mind we do Tex-Mex around these parts.
