Weird ask, but I’m sure some of you are knowledgeable in this area: Beyblades My 5 year old boys want them. I. don’t get it. They are just spinning tops right? Why are some a bazillion dollars? I don’t even know what to order them there are so many “kinds”? ‍♀️. Thanks for helping a clueless mom out!

Same, Audrey. And I just asked a very similar question of my own friends list last week. Darn you, McD’s!

There’s like a battle arena that you can buy where multiple beyblades can battle

My son asked for the same for his 7th birthday! My parents even asked if he wanted a new video game instead and he said no. It is literally a plastic "stadium" and a metal top "beyblade" which hooks onto a spinner. I still dont understand his obsession with it. ‍♀️

We got my 5 year old some for Christmas. He can’t get the hang of spinning them, specifically releasing them from the spinner thingy. He was getting so frustrated. So we packed them away and we’ll try again in 6 months or so.

My 10 and almost 6 year old play that every single day.

@rese13171 how do you play with them? Just spin them? Do you have to get that battle arena thing?
by (550 points)
There are couple different ones I think, but mine have this.  my little plays by himself and bae blades battle between themselves or he plays with his brother. There are some kind of points if one spins longer, if another bursts and etc:)) have a video of little one playing but it’s almost 2 mins long, can’t figure out how to cut shorter.

Idk, but my 16 year old and his friends dug his out and have been having competitions with them. There are different stadiums, I have no idea how they play with them, but they are entertaining apparently!

Kids know it and figure it out. I had no idea what he was given by us and family operated differently, I thought it was just different colors, but they do.

My 6yr son discovered them at daycare and has been obsessed since age 4. The cool thing he has discovered are the 36 options to connect some beys to the bet blade app and play with them virtually as well as live. Idk why but he loves them!

My 9 1/2 yr old is obsessed with Beyblades. There are different brands so depending on which brand you get, depends on the cost. If you get the ones at Target or Walmart they are more reasonably priced. There’s a brand my son can find on Amazon, but in my opinion they are over priced. He plays with his all the time, either by himself or with friends. Sometimes he wants me to play with him as well.

My boys are 9, 7, and 5, and they all play with them. There is an arena where two beyblades battle. There is also a show. To start, I would say get him an arena and two beyblades with launchers.

There are various stadiums and each beyblade has its own “skills”. Some are faster, tougher, etc. You battle and whichever breaks first loses. Target and amazon have them in sale frequently.

They are like tops and my boys love them although when they asked for them (and still do) refer to them as babe legs ! We get quite the kick out it! ❤️❤️
