Looking for recommendations please , talk to me about concrete patios. who do you know personally that does an amazing job for a fair price in the area? We are looking to get rid of this uneven mess that’s breaking apart! Thanks

Not concrete but pavers have come a long way! So many options! Design Pavers just ripped out our deck and completely transformed our backyard! Highly recommend!

I had RAC Construction - Ralph Agron (773) 330-8933 tear out my old concrete last year and build a deck but I’ve seen some of his stamped concrete and concrete work and it’s really great (I just opted for a deck). He’s been doing this 35 years (started in concrete) and has had his own business for the past 7-8 years, licensed and bonded.

@liebman9 I thought about but then again wanted something simple that kids could play on , color with chalk, etc . I wasn’t sure what would be better.
by (6.5k points)
@cornelia8 you can do that as well . This is our 5th year and the kids have road bikes , wrote with chalk , you name it . As long as you seal it it’s perfect

If those are flagstones I will gladly take them off your hands. we are looking to fix an area right off our deck that will use these.

I love the stones you have there. When you're ready I would be interested in buying some off you.

Wow! Thank you all for your quick recommendations! We’re not sure what to do , It’s just a mess now , the kids basically just pick at the gravel in between and take it apart and it’s hard to have furniture because it’s so uneven . I know my husband wants to reuse some rock in landscaping other places but I will definitely keep those in mind who were interested once we figure things out. Thanks again

We used Bud's Concrete for our front porch. They did an awesome job for cheaper than other quotes we received.

Just be sure you ask for certificate of liability AND workman's comp insurance. We had estimate to shore up our brick walk way and do minor repairs. The company only had liability insurance not workman's comp. He tried to tell my husband they didn't need it for a small job. That's BS. When my husband insisted he did, he said he didn't want to do the job. I wish I had a name to give you but by the time my husband told me he had pitched the paperwork. If a company doesn't carry workman's comp and someone gets hurt on your property, you could end up paying for their expenses. Just an FYI!

They may work with other subcontractors that have waivers in place. So this is not necessarily the case.
by (790 points)
@hyperdulia9259 They still should be able to show proof of insurance if that is the case.
