USPS seems to have lost 2 packages of mine. I expect delays given what’s going on, but last tracking shows they were in Chicago on the 8th and nothing since. I contacted USPS and they basically said my packages show no movement since the 8th and they are sorry I haven’t received them. So. is that just it? I’m just out the money I spent because they lost them? (it was stuff off eBay so can’t be replaced by a company) What am I supposed to do?

Yup like @loathing said. They are short staffed as well with the virus.

I sent my mother a large envelope just before the shutdowns began, cross country. She received it more than a month later. Sometimes USPS is just slow. Be patient, hopefully it will come.

If it never shows up, yes you’re out. It has happened to me many times. But in this case I would wait it out. May be stuck in the distribution center.

Lots of online sales moving via USPS and of course they could be short staffed. Funny you mentioned that day though - I had a pkg from Ebay not update since then. The listing says from Bensenville IL but the shipping label is from Kansas City KS. I suspect the listing was really from China though.

I have one sitting in the same status if "awaiting picking up from shipping partner" since 4/10 out in California. I paid via Pay Pal so I'll be putting in a claim soon.

I've had a package get lost in Chicago too, for 2 weeks. I'm hoping that it still arrives.

I have one in limbo too. UPS transferred it to USPS last week and now nothing. I reached out to UPS and was told to reach out to USPS. I did and am now waiting to hear back

Yeah mine was from overseas before the pandemic. It was $150 they gave me a fake tracking number and I'm in dispute with the credit card company and usually the wave it an open investigation. They sent me a letter that a provide all this documentation which I have and no return envelope. I am not paying $150 for stuff I never received and I even called The postal service and they said that is a fake number another words it was never shipped

USPS has been horrible lately. I assume more mail being sent than usual, less staff/staff out sick. I've been mailing masks to people and sent one to Montgomery (from Plainfield)-- so 2 towns over and paid for 1-2 day shipping with tracking and it arrived 8 days later and according to the tracking, left Illinois and went to North Carolina for a couple days! So it was basically living my dream vacation to the Biltmore Estate maybe. I dunno. But I think all of my packages eventually have made it to my clients--albeit most of them way later than I had paid for and was hoping.
