Hi Moms, I transferred some funds from keybenefits account to Bank of America on 27th April. Money dint reach my BOA and it’s gone from “key” account. Now I want to dispute it but there is no option given online, by calling them or in KeyBank site. Any idea or suggestions? Or have I just lost all the amount? Key bank hold is more than 2 hours. I tried that as well but they cud not help me

I don't know what keybenefits account is, but I know when I went to setup transfers from one bank to another, they do a small, under $1 transfer, to make sure it works. After the setup is done and everything looks good, then I was able to transfer money. I would check your keybenefits account and see if the money is still there.

@odlo158 I know man! I always did that and this is first time I transferred all money ($2200. 00) and it’s lost! It’s neither in key account nor in BOA

Oh! Key account is where you get IDES funds due to people being furloughed.

@mcroberts45953 So sorry you lost that money. That is weird that it didn't transfer. Does Key give out confirmations when making transfers? You might need to start with them to find your money. I hope you can track down your money.

@odlo158 no they don’t give any confirmations. No transaction is/ no merchant id. It sucks really and I regret that I dint test it by doing small amount transfer

@mcroberts45953 Is this the first time you transferred? Just wondering if it takes time for it to show up in your Bank of America account. Let's hope that is what is happening.

@odlo158 I really hope that’s what happening. Yeah first time but been over 9 days now so chances are very less! Thanks for your concern gurl! ❤️

I had to do a transfer to my chase account from that card and it took like 3 days. It didn't show as pending in my chase account but I was able to see it pending from the key2benefits account. Go in there and look at transaction history

@niklaus oh! I will try that now

I don’t know what Key Benefits is. is this a bank that’s associated to the unemployment benefits here in Illinois? If that’s the case, There has to be a trail of that money in their system. It’s ludicrous if they tell you otherwise. Every bank has a deposit and withdrawal and they see every single transaction. If you cannot get it resolved you need to contact NBC Chicago Consumer Investigates. Just make sure you have tons of documentation to support your claim BEFORE contacting them. Like dates and time called Key Benefits whom you spoke with, how long on hold, reference #’s and any and all statements for that account showing deposits into and withdrawals from that account.

I am following! My son borrrowed money from me so he could meet his bills while waiting for unemployment. So he did a transfer. And still no money. Not for him and me. Can’t let it “go” but will keep a close idea so we can monitor it for both of us. darned government. Always a thorn in our side

If the banks continue to ignore you/be unhelpful, you can file complaints with the a Federal Reserve, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and/or the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (the regulator of KeyBank and BOA). You can file online complaints with all of them. Sometimes just filing the complaint is enough to get them to pay attention to you. And if you get through to a person, make sure to mention that you’ve filed formal complaints. Good luck!
