Mine was around $3200. I used invisalign lite which is 28 aligners. Which in my case it was good since i didn’t have many adjustments needed to be done. I applied for CareCredit and am able to pay for them in payments in 24 mnths. My Orthodontist is Dr. Golden in Wheaton.

I had a mild case - sort of depends on how long you’ll need them for. I had a horrible experience :) and it was about 5k

I found a groupon for 2, 999. 00 through elite dental. They are such a nice staff. As for Invisalign. I’ve had them for over a year and still have like 7 months to go. It’s been super rough, I would get metal braces if I could choose again.

@faye6348 oh no. why? I am also looking to get them

My issue was crossbite. I had braces when I was much younger but when I got my wisdom teeth out every shifted dramatically but only on one side. I’m 16 weeks pregnant now, and I get horrible headache bc my bite is so off right now, and when I chew or bite down my teeth meet awkwardly. Metal braces would’ve been less time for my exactly issue. I have friend who just needed to close spaces and they had Invisalign less than a year.

It was several years ago for me. I think I had 9-10 trays and it was 2. 5k? My insurance paid 2k.

I’m currently using Smile Direct Club and I’m a few months in of a 6 month plan. Downside-have to wear them 22 hours a day and take them out only to eat. Bright side- not that expensive. $250 down and 85/month for 2 years or $1895 one time payment. Also not a super long treatment. If you’re interested, I can email you a referral code to get $100 off. Edited to add: some insurances will reimburse you. It’s worth looking into. They also take HSAs.

@helbonia I am looking into that. they have an option to only wear at night but it’s longer. I think for me that might be more manageable but longer for results. Any thoughts on that?
by (3.2k points)
@phototypy9290 yes! I tried to do that as well but after my scan, and the dentist sent me back my treatment plan, he said I didn’t qualify for the night aligners. I think maybe because my teeth are not a mild enough case ‍♀️ I’m not sure. The scan appt is free so definitely try it.

I’m getting mine in June (should have been April) and they’re $3500. But I’m not getting Invisalign, I’m getting Spark. Basically the same except they’re crystal clear and don’t stain

@crackleware where is that from?

As a dental hygienist - I’ve tried both Invisalign and smile direct club - I would highly recommend not to do smile direct club! I tried smile direct club before I became a dental hygienist and it was a horrible experience. I actually got a refund from them because the trays weren’t fitting and slicing my gums  The downfall of smile direct club is that you are not being supervised during this treatment. With major teeth movement you should be seeing a dentist every 3 weeks to get adjustments and get your new trays. It kind of is - you get what you pay for - 2k. I never was able to finish treatment. I loved Invisalign. Great experience! Since I was in the dental field I got a discounted rate of $600. But As far as cost normally goes - usually 5k. If you can find a general dentist to do treatment (a lot are certified) it is usually around 5k. Usually when you see a specialist like an orthodontist it is a little pricier 5k-7k. Some insurances have ortho coverage - some up to 50%! Please let me know if you have any further questions!

@oliviaolivie my first set cut me up too. I asked for a new scan and new set and actually got them. So far it’s ok but good to know I can ask for a refund if it happens again. That was awful.
by (2.9k points)
@helbonia yes! And let me know if you need help when sending them a letter for a refund! I can help with wording  it was super frustrating. I only got a 50% refund.

As a general dentist, and whose identical twin sister is a board certified orthodontist, and a girl who is currently in invisalign, I highly recommend invisalign! Great way to move your teeth properly and you’re able to keep your teeth very clean!

$4800 at our office, McGonigle Dental Associates. We have Invisalign’s iTero digital scanner (so no yucky impressions) and are able to show you estimated movement before you commit and take progress scans throughout your treatment to show how you’re tracking. As a visual person myself, we find a lot of patients love this!

I’m just finishing now. It was an easy fix for my bite, which was off. Not a cosmetic fix but best for my overall oral health. 14 weeks of trays was $3700 I believe.

I just got done with my and loved it! Again, the downside is you have to wear them all the time except when you’re eating. I had amazing results. Mine were about $5 to $6K but that was for unlimited amount of trays.

Would do metal orthodontics if I had to choose all over again. Your teeth shift quickly after the process is over, and it did not adjust the small over bite I was looking to fix. The dentist assured me I would, but I think you he wanted to keep me as a customer.

Invisalign was great for one of my daughters (she religiously took care of her plates) and the other lost track regularly. Cost was a shade over $4k for each. The Acceledent device was the most beneficial part because it shortened the time needed for braces dramatically.
