Question

Call all Ecobee thermostat owners. We just replaced our Nest Lite with the newest Ecobee. Our fan is running but it keeps shutting off the hot air. We know it’s not a furnace problem because they were out here to check it yesterday! Furnace is fine but our thermostat was bad. It took us 2 hours to get warm air last night, then it shut off overnight and we woke up to a cold house again. Then my husband fiddled with it and it ran fine all day and now it’s blowing cold air again. Any ideas? Obviously we have checked that it’s set to heat and not cool. What else?

Also important to know we can call the HVAC people again but they wanted $500 to install the dang thing. But I would totally pay $500 right now not to be freezing.

Is it possible it’s not sensing you and going into away mode?

Walk outside and see if the AC is running. Ours got wired wrong and was having ac and furnace fight
