My daughter had that for 2 weeks over break. She tested positive for influenza b. She ended the up and down fever with a bad headache and runny nose. Then it finally broke for the last time.

My husband had 103 fever for 3 days. The doctor had said it should go down in 5 days otherwise to be evaluated again for bronchitis or pneumonia. He was positive for influenza A and was given tamiflu too.

@christadelphian3169 since I am not feeling bad otherwise, just Fever primarily, I was just thinking it has to take its course?

Keep the temperature. It’s not high. It’s your bodies way of fighting. Don’t take anything to drop it. It’s the fastest way to end it. My sons temperature was at 103 and like a light switch it ended.

My daughter had a fever for about 5 days then 1 full-day of fever on 2 separate occasions about 5 days apart. She also has a little bit of a cough but no other symptoms.

I had the exact same thing happen to me with the up and down fever. I have had a fever for 3 days no other symptoms except a little couch. The doctor says it just has to run it’s course. I hope you feel better soon!

I had a temp of 100, went to 103, then down to 102 for several days. Went away for 2 days and came back. It went on for about 10 days. I tested positive for influenza A. I'm still coughing a ton over 2 weeks later and got a sinus infection. I have never been so sick in my life! I did not take Tamiflu.

@jujitsu it sounds like it’s what’s going around unfortunately.

@jujitsu , we ended up taking my daughter to the ER because it was so long and she was so lethargic. They checked her for pneumonia because it seems to go hand in hand with that recently. I hope you feel better soon!

That’s what’s been going around. Up and down fevers, dry cough, then you feel like death. Awful.

Sounds like you have influenza A . My son just got over it. Just treat it as the flu. push fluids , chicken soup, and tea. It takes about 5 to 7 days to start feeling better.

Three of my kids have it. My youngest got as high as 104. 7° in the first day and was then 100. 9 by the next morning. Her fever lasted the shortest amount of time, which was three days. My oldest had the fever for five days.
