I’m putting together a box of Chicagoland coffee and tea for an out of town family member. What are your favorite coffee and tea brands that are Chicagoland based? Please include where to buy it! Thank you!

Intelligentsia, Dark Matter, Metric, all of them can be bought at the Standard Market in Westmont. (Sometimes Whole Foods but check the dates to make sure they are fresh)

@headwaters thank you! I was thinking standard would be my best bet!

I shipped a variety box to my friend from ChiBeanScene. It came with 4 small bags of different whole beans. But I don’t remember if there is a physical store, bc I got it online after seeing them at a CoffeeConvention. So it would probably ship separate, unless you shipped to yourself first.

10 Drops in Plainfield is fantastic, their Tupac’s Revolt blend is so good. Dark Matter is also really good.

I think the Túpac’s Revolt is at Krema. But 10 drops is great coffee too.

We just moved from the city and adored the coffee there. I would say Dark Matter and La Colombe were our absolutes. I would also say here in the burbs Sparrow does a really really nice job! As far as tea goes, there’s a really nice tea shop in downtown Downers. Can’t remember the name- but my tea connoisseur aunt says they have the best English breakfast!
