I work a pt job at our neighborhood Target. Today, it was discovered someone left gift cards taped to various sections of our store. The gift cards read, Please enjoy this act of kindness in memory of our son Champe who was taken too soon from us. First I would like to thank someone for doing that. That was beautiful and also does anyone know who this person was? I would love to hear of his life.

You can see all the lovely acts of kindness in honor of their son using the #beachampeion. What a great way to celebrate their son and spread kindness.

As a mom that outlived one of my children, I belong to several online groups for parents suffering loss of a child. Many other folks I know who live with this devastating reality find comfort in acts of kindness in the name of their deceased children. Many people in our current American culture don't like to speak of loss openly. As his mom - I will never stop talking about him, honoring him or acting in ways that allow the world to know he was here - it's how I am able to keep him "alive". What a beautiful thing for you to witness today. #beachampeion is making a difference in the lives of others, even today without physical presence in this space. Many blessings of love and peace to those who knew and loved him.

@benoni so beautifully said. We are foster parents and a former placement tragically passed as a young teenager. So many if’s and why’s have ran through my head over the last 2 years. I’ve found the power of playing it forward in her memory so helpful emotionally. Sending you lots of hugs.

@chainey83 I'm so very sorry for your loss. My first born son passed 18 months ago at the age of 21. My profile picture is the last photo of my kids together, it was taken 10 days before the trauma that took him from us. His name is William. Many hugs to you as well.

I actually went to school with Kathleen and to honor Champe’s short life every year they ask others to do random acts of kindness in his memory .
