Everyday we receive dozens of submissions for commercial businesses. Currently ads aren’t approved. We want your feedback. Should we continue to keep the group ad free? Or permit commercial ads to be posted.

Ooooh, I have felt the need to post the statement about not allowing ads in Neighborly recently too! I spend my days deleting them lately and I’m sure you do as well! I love that our groups are ad free.

Just have an 'ads ok' day occasionally. Doesn't have to be an all or nothing decision.

I'm sure that if the advertising gets to be suffocating, somebody else will start another ad free page.

I think posts asking for recommendations are better. consumer driven info, not top-down business posts.

What a lot of groups do is they put up a business-related post once a week or once a month and people can comment about their businesses in that post.

Yes I was thinking about that too. I've seen groups do that. At least that way they're contained.
