Hello! I would recommend The Cheney Mansion Park and Lindberg Park. I am not sure if The Oak Park Conservatory is opened now, but that is worth a look see. I’m from Oak Park and live here now; I loved it growing up and still do. I cannot wait for my son to have a wonderful experience in this community. Enjoy the trip!

Go The Brown Cow or Hole in the Wall Custard Shoppe to get a treat. You need to wear a mask

I’m sure it’s closed. I walk by there almost daily.

All Oak Park playgrounds and fields are currently closed. Thatcher Woods is open (Forest Preserve). You can walk through the parks (Taylor and Lindberg are lovely) but if playgrounds are too tempting avoid them.

I wholeheartedly agree with @
sarah.
Forest park is a great option, cheaper taxes. Preschool is like, $100 a year, starts at 3.

I don’t think much is open. East and Harrison is conservatory Rehm park and pool. I don’t think much is open though. It’s a pretty rough time. More cases today.

Lindbergh Park is large park with lots of space. You could also hang at Scoville Park, which is grand central when it’s nice out (concerts and events). But it’s not huge.

We are going to be road tripping from Chicago to Denver with our three kids (ages 3-8) and looking for a fun hotel along the way - ideally someplace they can burn some energy in an indoor pool or something like that.
