@tjaden40 damn you're getting screwed. Check out visible
by (740 points)
@valparaiso doesn't work in my area. It's either boost or version.
by (9.7k points)
@tjaden40 visible is on Verizon. U sure?
by (740 points)
@capri no sprint stores in the area. I also can't get a contract phone due to really crap credit. So prepaid only. So call bs all you want. It's the only thing I can get that I can afford that works in this area. And version prepaid are 3x more. It's 50 a month for both lines that's including the monthly cost for boost up phone payments.
by (740 points)
@valparaiso yep. Had it when I lived in Phoenix. Moved here and couldn't get a bar of service and was constantly in roaming.

In the U. K. I’m with Virgin and it costs around £7/month (9$ ish) including 2gb of 4g data, 300 minutes of calls and 1000’s of texts. I buy my own handsets normally direct from Apple, last time they had iPhone 11s on interest free credit

Google Fi, 20/month unlimited talk and text. Then pay for what you use on data ($10/gig). I usually end up paying about $30-35 per month because I just stay on WiFi.

Right now I pay only $13 a month for three lines of unlimited on SPRINT :) . I grabbed their free one year plan when they promoted it last year so I only have a few months left then I have to choose a new plan. I am not loving Sprint's service in my area compared to when I had Verizon but Free I couldn't pass up.

I did the same thing, it was great while it lasted.

T-mobile. Right now I pay $175 for two lines, unlimited data, text and talk. It also includes the monthly payment for my phone, so $30ish of that will go away soon. We do get $2 Netflix with it (it was free the first year), and a bunch of other benefits, such as access to a 4% interest online checking account.

@angelicaangelico46 Ong you're getting bent over a barrel. Check out visible

I only pay $90 for 2 unlimited lines. Should check with them to see if you are on am older plan
by (3.2k points)
@etamine what phone do you have?
by (4.6k points)
I use TMobile as well but I bought my phone outright. If that's including only 1 phone payment that should only be an extra $30 or so a month, right? I know my friend at work had TMobile with his parents and paid as much as I did and only had 5gb because his plan was so old
by (3.2k points)
@etamine yeah, i just went online to check. I pay $28/month for the phone, and then also have my insurance and my husbands insurance on there. I usually do the Apple Care directly through Apple, but the benefits and cost were the same through T-mobile when I got the phone. It looks like there is one cheaper plan available that could save us $30/month, but the service is slightly different. I’m gonna go by there this week, since my husband needs a new phone anyway.

What Americans pay for mobile data is criminal. In Germany I had unlimited everything for €25/month. In Bangladesh I had unlimited everything for maybe $7/month. In Egypt I think I paid around $10. In Hungary it was €20. In China now and I've been here two and a half months and have only topped up my phone once at around $30.
by (6.4k points)
@ways haha so true! in Afghanistan it was like $7/5gb In Morocco, it was $15/20gb

We use Tracfone. Usually get a phone and a year of service, 1500 minutes, 1500 texts, and 1. 5 gb data for about $125. If we need to , we can but more of any of those for $5 or $10. So overall we spend maybe about $12 a month each.

Anybody using Xfinity mobile? I have for the last year. If you have Comcast then the line for talk text is free (up to 5 lines, used Verizon network) and you can either pay $12/gb for data or go unlimited for $45. I have four lines on unlimited talk text and data @$180. Services has been very good (signal) but thinking I can find a better deal Out there now. Plus Comcast is the devil.

How is the mobile connectivity/reception with some of the smaller network plans? Any insight?
by (6.5k points)
We use Tracfone, and in our area, we are using the Verizon network. Basically they all use either Verizon, sprint, or AT&T networks. If you go that way, pick one that uses the network you like in your area.

$30/month at Boost for 3G which I rarely hit the limit of (did I most everywhere I go). I paid for a refurbished @koballsung/activity" class="qa-user-link">koballsung S6 a year or so ago I think for about $130. The battery is crap and isn't easily changeable so I bought a battery case for $30 soon after. I dropped it a few too many times and just bought another charging case. I'll probably get another newer refurbished @koballsung/activity" class="qa-user-link">koballsung in the next year. I've debated a regular plan type phone as texts seem to get lost randomly. and I could have a better phone. Truth is though I had sprint and AT&T and only Boost works at all in my little corner at the office. Important if my adult kids need to reach me. Don't get why boost would work better but maybe the S6 had better reach than the IPhone 5s or whatever I had before. One other thing. I hate big phones that don't fit in my girl pockets
