Hi, I recently bought the Doorbell 2 - I’m having issues where the video freezes at crucial parts during motion detection or when someone rings the doorbell. However when going into live view, the video does not freeze. Wifi router is 7 feet away and with a speed of 12mbps. Are their any solutions to this problem?

What's the RSSI reading if you go into the doorbells health, just because the routers 7 feet away wont necessarily mean it's got a perfect connection. I install mesh systems and the router can be directly behind a wall and the quality the other side is very poor. Lots of external factors can cause interference

@gassman and it will fluctuate, I'd say first thing to try is getting the RSSI down as low as possible. If possible move router closer or buy a ring range extender, without the right tools you'll never know what's causing poor wifi

A poor router with limited ram and a slow processor have a big impact on video

With only 12Mbps down your up is going to be really slooooow. When I had 12Mbps down my up was only something like 784kbps yes less than minimum 1-2Mbps by Ring. This may be your issue. Download one of your videos to your computer on Mac OS I believe it is QuickTime will open and there is a inspection menu will show you the size of the resolution. My upload is suppose to be 2Mbps which is supposed to support 1080P but I also only get 720. Ring reduces the resolution to be able to upload to the cloud. Don’t know if that is your issue but you might want to look into it.
