How can a device be out of battery if it’s hardwired?

If you have a light at the front door, install a floodlight cam and lose the doorbell cam.

@inerasable97 So you don't have a light at the front door where the doorbell is? I do, and the floodlight cam is the only way to go. Also have them around the house.

Yes if the hard wire is actually trickle charging the battery.

Yes. If the battery is going bad, or if temps are really low, or if the wire volts are not adequate, or not wired correctly.

There’s still a battery in that hardwired model. It says your power status is “very poor”. Seems it’s not getting enough power.

Check it during the day if you are running it via solar cell to charge. Maybe it's not getting enough direct light to keep the battery charged.

That's the exact same problem I have! I bought the trickle charger to make sure it would work in the cold. So far it has worked to -30 Celsius. But now I'll have to take it down and bring it in the house to charge it up. I'm down to 5%!

Hardwiring does not bypass battery. Essentially it’s like plugging your cell phone into a charger and still using it. The charger cannot keep up with lots of activity, and cold temperatures.

Could be a bad ring. Mine is connected to the solar panel. It wouldn’t charge. Took a little back and forth with tech support, but they sent me a replacement ring and it’s been good ever since. The ring just wasn’t taking the charge.

How much current on the wire? Probably not very much. It’s telling you that the power quality is very poor.

We have Doorbell Model 1 and it's wired to existing DB "trickle power". We've had it for about 3 years now and its percentage has dropped off twice. Not sure why. I removed the device and connected the USB to charge. Was fine after that for quite awhile. We're in No. Calif. and the unit is under a covered porch, so protected from most weather elements. Today it's reading 94%.

My transformer went bad and power was restored when I changed transformer. Voltage was zero out of old transformer.

Also, if your doorbell 'sees' lots of motion, use or is linked to trigger other lights, you will see low power situations as well.
