Christina this is what we need to do. I’m so sick of irresponsible cat owners who think cats should freely roam the neighborhood.

My neighbor thinks she is supposed to feed all the strays. she calls them in to feed them but doesn’t own any of them. She’d be pissed if I started trapping them.

Lord have mercy, I’m so tired of hearing about people complaining about the odd loose cat. If that’s the worst you have to deal with in life, count yourself lucky. lol

Yes it is the worst thing I have to deal with in regards to my Backyard FLCam. I have the FLCam for security. I am often away from home and my wife is home alone. It has occurred so many times with cats setting off alerts and waking her up and scaring her in the middle of the night, that when I go away I have to turn off motion detection, which defeats the purpose of the Cam. I have a neighbor who harbors feral cats and getting alerts a dozen times a night is not exactly "the odd loose cat. ". So count yourself lucky that you don't have to deal with it. Stop assuming that what you have to deal with applies to everyone. It doesn't.

that defeats the point. I want to be alerted if somebody is creeping around my house or cars in the middle of the night.

Well, if the cat is in person mode then it will trigger it every time But yes I have cats and raccoons trigger mine as well and strangely sometimes it doesn't trigger when there is a person.

my critters are all in critter mode, horizontal on all fours, not vertical like people. And, like you, sometimes a person won't register - but, my older Kuna brand porch light camera works reliably.

Cats, skunk, raccoons, opossum. Frequently. I had to turn off my chime so I didn't get woken up, but what kind of security is that? I think Ring's "People Only" setting is worthless marketing bullsh*t.

From my understanding, reading your post and replies, it sounds like your security system is doing its job. Can you explain more in depth of the issue that you are having, or post footage? Is the cat causing harm? Do you know who’s cat it is? What is the destruction? Ring is a motion sensing security device.

Yes, I dismantled my Spotlight and my floodlight camera put them in the box and sent them back to Amazon funny. You should say that because I'm still getting notifications even though I've returned both sides both lights. And deleted the app.
