Anyone else still experience issues with the incorrect location showing up for the neighbors section of the app when you put in your address? I brought this up almost 2 years ago, Ring still hasn’t solved the issue (never even heard back after numerous calls/emails/private messages). In that time I’ve actually deleted my address a few times and put in the same address again and it still places me far away from my actual address. Initially, I chalked it up to being a new community and new build in 12/2017, but I’ve given it 2 years to be sorted and nothing has changed. My address shows up now properly in every mapping program and GPS known to man, but somehow in the neighbors section it puts me in a completely different area that’s at least 5–10 miles away, as the crow flies. Just want to see if anyone else is experiencing this problem as well? If it’s just me then I guess it’s a completely secluded instance, otherwise is there a legitimate issue with the neighbors section that cannot pinpoint my location?

We’re in the same boat. Home was built in 7/17, but Ring has our home pinpointed about 3 miles from our actual location. Ring support was no help either.

@fecteau Johnson sorry to hear about your issue, but good to know I’m not alone in this issue. Have you tried anything else besides what I mentioned above?

@pentosan53231 Tried to add a different address completely, then change it back, but no luck. It’s been a while since I’ve messed with it honestly. Just sorta gave up.

@fecteau Johnson yes sir, I’m right there with you. I’ve tried the same, talked to Ring CS via chat, email, and through FB. never got back to me. I’ve adjusted my boundaries to fit my needs, but it’s frustrating that it doesn’t work as intended.

@pentosan53231 idk but it seems like this might be a GPS issue vs a Ring app error. or an issue with the GPS system the Ring app uses. Do you have one of those addresses that comes up wrong if people navigate to your house by GPS? I’d try temporarily changing the address to something closer to where you actually live to see if the geolocation changes. At least you’d then have an idea of the bug that needs to be fixed

@exercitation2948 GPS and all mapping programs work fine. Initially, I could completely understand why it did not show up. we were a brand new community that you could not even pull up on a GPS or any mapping program. I actually had to set waypoints to get here when we first bought the house. I have neighbors that bought some ring stuff on my recommendation and their addresses show up perfectly fine now without issue. From what I can tell, it's just my address that doesn't want to show up, but if you put my address into any program anywhere it will show up perfectly. I feel like something on Ring's end is incorrect with my address, but when I order stuff from them it gets delivered perfectly fine. Even accidentally set off my alarm and the police showed up to the right place too.

Hmmm. that is perplexing

Is where your location shows up the edge of the subdivision?

@exercitation2948 nope, my location shows up in a completely different community that's at least 15 minutes away driving distance. My address on a GPS or mapping program puts people right in front of my house.

Here is what I am talking about, if my post doesn't make much sense.

You sure you know where you live. Lol

@fecteau I guess Ring thinks they know better than I do.

A shot in the dark. try using zipcode 34761

I actually tried to change it to Ocoee, FL 34761 in one of my changes and it didn't recognize that either. but that's definitely a good thought.
