The $150 one mentions a free year of cloud service. No mention of it on the $229 one.

@biquadratic I saw that also, that’s a 30. 00 value by it self. Wonder if the cheaper one is a refurbished unit. Ring boxes are usually Blue. One in right may also be one year cloud but does not say on the tag. Costco?
by (450 points)
Generally only Costco has included the year of service. Maybe they’re ending that perk and the $150 is clearance?
by (1.2k points)
@biquadratic Costco wouldn’t sell refurbished, it’s a different item # which I why I’m just thinking older packaging

Check the SKU. Those usually don't change

Read the box. I am sure there are differences in the details, unless one was returned "open box". Also, what are the lumens on the 150. 00? 1800 lumens on the 229. 99 is good.

@lemur I was thinking of those with the solar panel, but you are correct, they are called spotlight cams. Corrected the error.

Has to be refurbished or return. Check model number and camera etc. are they exactly the same? Love my floodlight cams.
by (1.2k points)
@rattray it’s returned but new in box. Costco doesn’t sell refurb

So looking up the UPC up online, it looks like the only difference is the inclusion of the year of Ring Protect Basic, lol

The only differences are $79. 99 and the SKU.

If the light goes out you have to replace the whole unit.

Plus, LEDs should theoretically last forever.

Does anyone want it and willing to pay shipping? I don’t really have a need for it as my existing floodlight is on a 2nd story eave. Wouldn’t be much use for me.
by (1.2k points)
@lemur just went back and someone snagged it! Sorry!

J. T. Schlotman that was a bargain!

Check for the the small print on the boxes. Maybe there will be different year dates. And that is an AWESOME deal! Best I’ve ever gotten was $179 on the four I’ve gotten.

@lemur Dang! I’m in need of a glitch day! Can’t Amazon make it like a Prime Day?
by (1.3k points)
@niles  YES!
by (1.3k points)
@niles Amazon has had glitch days where folks got some great deals until Amazon plugged the whole.
