Ring neighbors app is not showing my address as the correct spot on the map. We just moved to a new construction so I’m guessing it’s not in the system yet? Anything I can do to move it in the correct area? Also how do I know with ring professional monitoring they know exactly where to go in case of an emergency?

Yes this is exactly my issue! They show me 20 miles away. I actually have neighbors with Ring Devices but I’m not in their neighborhood!

@paintbox8 please read my responses above to @breathless on how to fix it. I ran into this issue two years ago and have only found one workaround so far.

So you're in for a "treat", of sorts. I was a new build in Dec 2017. couldn't find my address, couldn't add it initially. I was finally able to add it in February or March 2018 and get my system up and running to what I thought was fully. 2 years later and my neighbors app still shows me not in my neighborhood. I've deleted and installed the app, deleted my address, put my address back in, and it still shows me about 10 miles or so away (as the crow flies). I've contacted ring and they haven't had an answer yet. My workaround for the neighbors app is to move my monitored area to where I actually live. It's a crappy fix and I'm not happy about the fix, but it's the only fix right now. As far as your address is concerned, they will know where to show up, keep in mind that the local PD or FD gets those calls and they actually know where you live.

@pentosan53231 ok as long as the PD and FD come to the correct place in the event of an emergency I’m fine with not having the neighbors app. Can I change the neighbors app address and keep my current ring monitoring address?

@breathless the addresses have to be the same, as there isn’t an option to have two different ones for the same account. That being said, just moving the map is what I’ve found to work best. You can actually move the lines inside the map so you will be in “your neighborhood”. I mostly did this because where it actually put me on a map is a higher crime area and I was getting at least 10 alerts a day about break ins, car vandals, and all sorts of other stuff.

@pentosan53231 oh I see what you mean. I’ll try that thanks!

@pentosan53231 so the map won’t scroll towards my neighborhood.

@breathless go into settings on the top right hand corner (gear icon) when in neighbors. If you click on neighborhood area then you can move the blue dots and area to your neighborhood. If you zoom in too far you’ll have to do it a couple times, so I stay zoomed out and it’s easier to make my “alert area”.
