Chime pro is good to have a device sound inside, not so good for extending your WiFi, A WiFi Mesh extender is better.

I purchased it but it didn't help the wifi. It is nice to ring inside

@thermotherapy How are you using it? What is the RSSI of the Ring device connected to the Chime Pro and what is the RSSI if the device is connected to the router. Also the Ring Chime Pro should be placed halfway between the Router and the Ring device.

We have one and love it. Our camera is on the front of the house and my modem is in the back. We put the Chime pro in the plug closest to the camera and it gave my camera a great internet connection.

A Ring Chime Pro may help but it depends on where you place it. If it's too far from your wireless Router or too far from the device you are trying to enhance it could be useless. I was trying to improve the signal level to a doorbell cam and found I had to put it on a wall in a front bedroom, approximately half the distance between the router and the wireless camera. Once I got to the correct spot, I found the doorbell camera performance improved. Anyplace else in the house made no improvement. I also ended up replacing two older Apple Airport routers with two eero Pro mesh routers and removing the Chime Pro. Was a much better solution and all my WiFi devices now have excellent performance. The eero Pro model is significantly better performance since it has 3 available bandwidths to communicate with, rather than the standard eero model that has two. The Pro however does cost more.

I did when I bought my Ringdoorbell 2. I found it did not perform well for me. My solution was to improve my overall WiFi system by adding multiple Access Points throughout the house hardwired to my network via Cat6 Ethernet. Much imporved WiFi for Ring and all my devices.

I have one. It's only 2. 4ghz. When I got it I found my pro slower then when on my 5ghz guest. So just left it on my 5ghz. mainly use it for notification someone rang the bell in the house.
