I have two devices and want two more. If my wifi doesn’t support them all what is the best thing to get? Is an extender the same as mesh? Sorry for my ignorance I literally know nothing about these things. Thanks !

Basically an extender repeats your network but doesn’t actually improve the signal much if even at all. Just repeats the bad signal usually. A mesh system actually creates a bigger wireless network with its technology and so is more reliable. Simply put. I’d get Eero or Netgear! Love my Eero.

Avoid Wi-Fi extenders. Go with mesh if you want a simple consumer ready fix.

Can someone explain “mesh” in lay terms? Does it work with existing WiFi or is it something else ?
