My Ubiquiti Amplifi Shows up on Saturday. Has anyone segmented the traffic just for Ring or just setup one SSID? Share your setup's please?

Why not look at the ubiquiti dream machine and it’s wireless access points? A little more depending and has much greater flexibility with vlan capability while still being the same company.

If you are talking about separate subnets and VLANs then I don’t believe the Amplifi family routers can do those. Although you might be able to setup a Guest WiFi to segment traffic. Btw, which Amplifi model you are getting? I believe currently there are four models available.

@antitragus6639 it was limited Pickens on Amazon and got the AMPLIFI HD most current model I Hope. I wanted alien but it was sold out.

@antitragus6639 most of my traffic will be on the 5 gig range and assume ring will be 2. 4 for my ring pro and flood.

@gati5 Doorbell pro supports both 5GHz and 2. 4GHz but Flood light only supports 2. 4. Unless you are creating a separate 2. 4 GHz only WiFi SSID, your doorbell pro will switch between 5 and 2. 4 automatically. You may have to play with the channels if you live in a WiFi congested area.

Reviews are mixed. Looks like the old Apple Airport? Not shipping until May from Amazon. AMPLIFI will be here tomorrow so we shall see how it stacks up.

Amplifi showed up a day early and installed. WiFi is great! Camera signal is awesome. I had trouble getting Sonos and Ring Pro reestablished. Flood did fine with the 5Ghz. I had to split the SSID’s temporarily to get the Ring pro to connect. All good now and happy with the results.

I had the amplifi HD for a week and returned it. Their advertised 20k sqft of coverage is pure BS or maybe true in a field. All my ring cams had a huge delay and horrible rssi. Hope you have better luck for for my house build it just didn’t work.

I have 2000sqft brick exterior and signal is spot on in every corner but speed drops at the edge. Would prefer Alien but it was not available.

Chuck, nice, I needed if for 4k block single story so I can see now why the drop was so drastic for me.
