I just realized that when I have the live feed open on my Echo Show the doorbell (gen 1 battery) lights up around the doorbell push button. When I live view in the Ring or Rapid Ring app it does not light up. Is there any setting to disable the light?

There is not, no. All of my Ring cameras do this when live-viewing via Alexa using any device. The bottoms of the flood and spotlights light up blue (where the PIR sensors are for the lights), just like the blue ring on my doorbell. Doesn't matter which Alexa device I use. Live viewing from my phone app or Windows app doesn't do this.

@garrek Thanks. Glad it doesn’t show on my phone. I hate to think of all the times I hid silently inside while watching the church ladies knock on my door. But that’s always been on my phone.

Wow, never realized this. Wonder why they would do that?

@plant yeah my heart stopped when I saw it lit up. It makes sense for an indoor camera so you’re not being peeped on. But a doorbell? I was glad it doesn’t duplicate that when live viewing from the Ring and Rapid Ring apps. Just Alexa.
