Looking to get a bridge and some outdoor lights (when they come available in Australia). Can anyone tell me the distance the bridge works? I’ve read it’s only one bridge per house and I want to put lights in front and out back but not sure how good the signal will be to pick them up in both locations.

I am in a town house, my bridge signal goes through one brick wall on either side of the house, and no walls inside. It is directly in the center of my property. I get about 40 feet from the bridge and it works, at 50 feet the lights are bouncing online and offline.

@desrosiers ok. Thanks. That’s good info. I’ll need to get out and measure. Assume the bridge can be installed outdoors and is weatherproof?

@cube126 no I do not believe it can be installed outdoors. There are things you can do to help that. that black box is a plastic ammo can. I drilled into the side of it. I ran a ethernet cable and power to it. I power a stick cam and spotlight from it. In side of it is also a Tp-link deco M9. Once everything was in it, I used outdoor window and door silicone on the outside, and box tape inside to seal my hole. I bet you can do the same with the bridge.

@desrosiers cool. Good idea. Or maybe even the Christmas light power box would work for this. If we could run multiple bridges it would be perfect. One at each end and it would work as required. Just think Im going to struggle with distance with an internal instal as I have a fairly long house.

@cube126 do you already have cams? If so, they can do the alerts to your phone. with Ring transformer you can wire some low voltage lights and you can have as many transfers as you need.

Lights would be better quality also.

@desrosiers yes running a doorbell 2 and 2xsolar battery spotlight cams. I liked the idea of getting the Garden and deck lights integrated too. Might look into the transformer option. Thanks.

I got the Smart Transformer which connects to the bridge. Then got a 60. 00 set of low voltage led landscape lights and ran them off the Smart Transformer. Use the cameras to to sense the motion then it turns on the lights. A lot less expensive when you just want a set of paths lights. Schedule turns on the lights from 6 to 11 and when camera senses movement
