Outdoor cameras, I want a flood and two more cameras outside. I can’t pull the trigger based on YouTube reviews. Anyone using eufy? Any way to connect to ring set up? Would also prefer wired.

@equities21015 my fault. Get a power over Ethernet (wired) camera system and use your computer and softwares as your video recorder. Or buy a system from Costco

@xerophthalmia I was thinking it would be cool to use the usb on the router to record? Dunno how but that’s a good idea too

IMO, I’d go with a full security camera system and then utilize the ring floodlight cams or spotlight cams as a supplement to your security cams. My ring cams have missed quite a bit but these haven’t missed nothing. I have a ring floodlight cam above my garage and another on the backside of the house.

@chesty this man has it right . Multiple layers and ring cameras aren’t true security cameras

@xerophthalmia yes sir, I originally had the security cams then got the ring cams for there PIR motion detection, now I’ve moved up to 4K cameras and I honestly think the ring cams quality sucks now lol.

@chesty ring is a novelty. I like I can sometimes talk to people at the door. Or have the flood lights go off to scare people. I have 5 4K cameras around the exterior for recording using blue iris

I don't know what reviews you've seen on YouTube but I have 7 cameras throughout my home including two wired floodcams and not one time has my Ring cameras missed a thing.

@merozoite what happens when your internet goes out?

The same thing when your power goes out.  Oh but my Ring Alarm runs on cell service so I guess I'm one up on the competition
