So just to understand.  I have two cameras and currently on Rings 30 day trial. So just to understand. I have two cameras and currently on Rings 30 day trial. When it comes to recording WITHOUT the plan, will it still show in my history where I can go and look at it? Or, if I don’t click the notification when it happens, I won’t see it at all?

No, without a plan you can not go back and watch motion alerts. You still receive motion alerts and can pull up the live view when you receive the alerts but they will not be recorded

@heyde I just hate the fact that sometimes by the time it loads, what I needed to see is already gone, so I have to go back to the motion alert I guess I am being cheap and don’t want to spend the $30 a year. Lol

@methodist use rapid ring app it loads much faster

@methodist I know it’s definitely worth it for me, I own several Ring products and they’ve help local police make arrests and even saved our lives and house from a fire.

@jaquelinejaquelyn how do you view live video from rapid ring?

The same way you do in the ring app, just open the app and hit the play button

@methodist should have purchased eufy2. No fees, good to have ring alarm but cameras. eufy2

@methodist if you don’t have the Ring Protect Plan, you won’t have recordings at all. If you get a motion alert you will need to open the app immediately to see what the motion is, otherwise you won’t know what it is because there will be no recordings of it without the Ring Protect Plan.

@soupy2 can you cancel it at anytime? I guess I just need to stop being cheap lol

You cancel the Ring Protect Plan at any time if you don’t pay annually (which you save some $ paying annually and not monthly). The amount is nothing really when you think about the video recording you are getting every month. Put it into perspective - what does the ring camera do for you if someone breaks into your house and you had the chance to have the persons face on video to try and catch them, but you chose not to pay the $30 something a year for the recordings. I’d say it’s 100% worth paying the small amount that it is.

@soupy2 this is true. I’ve been having issues with our neighbors dog sneaking in our yard and tearing stuff up. You are right.

Well you could always have the recordings and show your neighbors and say hey I’m going to bill you for the things your dog has destroyed - I have evidence he did it
