So I have a ring security I have never installed that I purchased at Costco. Should I install it or switch two the second generation system?

Pretty much the same stuff as the second gen you can probably even add the second gen stuff to an existing system. I don’t know that for sure but I’d say keep it.

@necolenecro87 you can absolutely add the new accessories to the existing base station.

I’d wait and check prices and trade up

It’s basically made everything smaller.

After looking at the products that were released, it seems to be cosmetic changes. Nothing I have seen references anything relative to improvements relative to the electronic side. I do like the layout of the keypad a little better, but even with that I can buy the new keypad separately and then have two in the home rather than one. Bottom line as noted by @necolenecro87 above you can add whatever new component you want to the existing system you purchased.

Install it, just cosmetic change to a few pieces: keypad, motion and contacts. All the same functionality.
