Pretty much the same stuff as the second gen you can probably even add the second gen stuff to an existing system. I don’t know that for sure but I’d say keep it.

After looking at the products that were released, it seems to be cosmetic changes. Nothing I have seen references anything relative to improvements relative to the electronic side. I do like the layout of the keypad a little better, but even with that I can buy the new keypad separately and then have two in the home rather than one. Bottom line as noted by @
necolenecro87
above you can add whatever new component you want to the existing system you purchased.

Install it, just cosmetic change to a few pieces: keypad, motion and contacts. All the same functionality.
