Just wonder if anyone has tried the defender box. ? im looking at getting linksys velop mesh wifi system and wanted to have extra security so thought about the defender box . but I don't know if its worth it. even tho the mesh system has antivirus I just want that extra security because these days its getting easier to hack into people stuff . and stuff like tvs and lightbulbs and alarm system all becoming smart. plus I don't know anyone who has got the defender box to ask lol. last question do you think its worth getting 2 link sys velop mesh and then get the mr8300 mesh wifi router ? or just stick to the 3 velop wifi router. thank you all and stay safe.

Read the reviews first on mesh systems before you buy. I am also in the market for one but the veloop system did not get great reviews. So far I am looking at orbi or tp link

@karakalpak ye that’s why I’m asking about the Bitdefender before I get it because a lot of sites get paid to say how good there product is lol . And then was going to look at linkysys then if that’s no good I’ll look at tp link or eero just trying to sort one thing at a time

I have the Bitdefender Box 2 in conjunction with my Orbi Mesh Network. Best protection you can have for your home system.

@consumable4597 ah thank you  that’s the thing people are buying all this stuff to boost there WiFi but they are not thinking about protecting it . And to me I would rather have a ok WiFi and good protections then have amazing WiFi and not good protection . Where as in if I have mesh WiFi and better protection then it’s a good deal . And with more things becoming smart . it means there’s more ways for hackers to get into the WiFi

Exactly. With all of my IOT devices in my home. my Bitdefender is protecting over 35 devices.

Plus Bitdefender also gives you a copy of their Antivirus software as well to use on as many computers you have. One fee per year.

I hadn't heard of it either until my it department recommended it You can go to their website and check it out there's a free as well as a paid version. when I researched it it got really good reviews. Spend some time and research it along with bit defender. I used the paid version here ago never had any issues with it but I didn't have a mesh system either.
