This may have been asked, but is the rapid ring app. Legitimate?

Yes. it pulls up live feeds much faster. It’s worth it if you’re answering door bell rings. I wouldn’t use it for other cameras though.

Yes. It quickly brings up the camera view. When you get an alert on your phone just tap it and it goes directly to the image. Very quick

It's legitimate, but for me it didn't work so well, but many report good results.

I think it’s stupid we need a whole other app for it honestly
by (360 points)
@antic It’s inconvenient but because the main app has so many features to start up before showing you footage, the separated app is necessary. Rapid Ting is strictly used to view your cameras faster, nothing more which is why it’s so much faster.

How do you install it and is there an additional fee?
by (3.2k points)
Install it like any other app. There's no fee.

Ring also has a useless stand alone neighbors app. I don’t know why anyone who uses the main app would also download that.
by (260 points)
Boy you said that right, it's for busy bodies crying about cop choppers and kids walking near their non million dollar cars. Yet the things it was made for originally get deleted by their "neighbors team" lol. I said F Ring, Ill keep the doorbell but I got a real security guard company to guard that stuff via deep sentinel. Ring isn't bad for being the walmart of (diy) security

I just own two ring flood lights and a real alarm service, alarm. com. I have some other cameras outside to watch the porch, driveway, and backyard.
