I just set up my new mesh wi fi. Now do I switch all my ring items over to the new wi fi created? My alarm base is Ethernet, do I unplug it from the router and plug it to the mesh that’s connected to the router? Thanks

dont use the change network function as it will bug the camera out. Remove that camera on the app then start a fresh i stall adding it onto the mesh wifi.

When you set it up, it will ask which wifi signal. You should have a choice of you existing wifi or the new mesh. At least thats what I think I did.

Just rename your mesh Wi-Fi to the name of your old Wi-Fi and use the same password, everything you have will connect like it did to the old one.

You mentioned that it is directly connected to the router via ethernet. Ring is a cloud based. It won’t matter where you connect it as long as it had internet you should be fine. Just let your video cams be connected on your mesh since all of those are wireless. But it is all up to you. You can put everything to your mesh.

What mesh system do you have? What internet service do you have. The main node in the mesh, what mode is it in?

if it is coaxial, you are stuck with the router in the middle. If the deco is in router mode, you should have everything plugged in behind them. If it is in access point mode it does not matter.
