Question

How am I supposed to go back early in the day to watch videos without scrolling for 10 minutes? Am I missing a time-jump feature?

If you press and hold on the”Today” it brings up a calendar you can select a previous day. Also if you tap the “Fastforward” or “FastReverse” on either side of the Play button will rapidly move you to the beginning of each recorded motion.

Earl, If you tap “today” and then tap today’s date, you’ll automatically get taken to midnight today. Then you can click the left/right arrow to jump. If none of these make you happy, then you simply won’t be. Ring has the best interface of all of the camera services for this.

Earl, well, you didn’t mention the part that tapping the current day goes to midnight. But, my bad! When I hit reply, it profiled the wrong person i was responding to.

Jason, then you can change the sensitivity of motion settings. Other than that, it is what it is.

@hembree557 We have 8 cams. Shouldn't need to record less. A simple software fix could give faster scrolling abilities. Like setting a clock where the minutes speed up when you hold the button. But thanks for confirming that I wasn't missing something.

That's what I have been asking for also. No easy way to go back to a specific date and time

The best way that I have found is by going to that device and selecting “Event History”. You still have to scroll but it is way faster when trying to locate a mid day event you are wanting to go back and find rather than using the dashboard timeline feature

Tap the today button. It brings up a scroll along the bottom that has the dates listed.
