I have a media buyer client who ended up with a backlink profile where non-generic and non-branded anchor text relates to "careers" or "jobs" (due to their efforts in spreading info about their jobs section). Disavowing the links means disavowing the PageRank, not just the anchor text. The site may be so PageRank-rich it doesn't matter. It could be that disavowing the links will deprive the site of value and cause it to lose traffic.
