Do you bother taking action to prevent copying of your articles and images, and if so what precautions do you take? (This would be for your creation of website or post phase)

You can file a DMCA Request to google in order to try and get the pages removed but usually google is intelligent enough to identify the fraudulent site.

Good to know, @stent ! Wondering is anyone bothers using plugins to prevent this from occurring .

I have never used a plugin for this. The situation has happened to me on a couple of my clients sites but it failed to affect them in any way. If your site hasn’t been affected then I would just ignore it or just file a DMCA. You could always try emailing the fraudulent site and request removal of the content. Good luck!

It's simply not possible to protect copying of text or images on a website, all you can do is take actions after the fact.
